The community together with guests from throughou the region gathered for a powerful and uplifting celebration of Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut, moving from remembrance to joy through music, prayer, and storytelling. The evening featured our special, “raise-the-roof” Hallel service, accompanied by a full band, filling the sanctuary with energy and gratitude in celebration of Israel’s independence.
Following the service, acclaimed Israeli-Ethiopian artist Gili Yalo and his band performed a vibrant concert blending Ethiopian, soul, funk, and Israeli musical influences. Gili shared deeply moving personal stories about his childhood journey through the Sudanese desert and eventual airlift to Israel during Operation Moses.
