Rabbi Viki Bedo was formally installed as Rabbi of the community in a moving and music-filled ceremony celebrating leadership, learning, and spirit. The ceremony featured communal singing of nigunim and a stirring rendition of the Hungarian Jewish classic “Szól a Kakas Már,” alongside the heartfelt tribute song “Ayala,” beautifully sung by Deborah Sacks Mintz. Music Director Jack Klebanow accompanied the program on Shoresh’s new Steinway piano, whose rich sound added warmth and depth to this memorable communal milestone.
