A member since 2019, Barry is Rabbi Emeritus of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center, Dobbs Ferry, where he served for 31 years. After retiring from GHC, he served as an interim rabbi across the country. In addition to teaching scholar series and serving as a gabbayim, he helps on various committees, including Communal Kitchen, Keruv, and the Green Team.
Dara Less is a proud member of this vibrant synagogue whose values align with her own. Since joining in 2019, she has held various roles such as serving on the Board of Trustees and on the Nominating Committee. Also, she has participated with the Social Committee and the Gala and Installation Committees, being part of the teams that created the Poet Tree and the Ladder of Blessings. She is thankful for Beth El and hopes to continue to contribute to the community.
Elliot and his family moved to New Rochelle and joined Beth El five years ago. Elliot has had the privilege of serving on the Gabbai Committee, the Youth and Family Committee, and the Beth El Board of Trustees. He has also enjoyed performing in both Shul Shenanigans productions, a truly special Beth El experience. Beth El has become a home away from home for Elliot, Alana, Orly, Lila, and Lev, and he feels so grateful to be part of such a warm and welcoming community.
Cindy Enger received her rabbinical ordination in 2001 from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. Through the Shalem Institute, she completed training in the ministry of spiritual guidance in the contemplative tradition. She currently works as a spiritual director, accompanying others on the journey of nurturing and deepening life in God and tending to the soul. Cindy is delighted to call Beth El her spiritual home and is most grateful for the warmth and generosity, as well as the joy, depth, and richness of life and spiritual practice, in this synagogue community.
