Parent Rosh Chodesh Learning
Parent Rosh Chodesh Learning
Rabbi Josh Dorsch and Jen Vegh
Why are we supposed to eat cheesecake on Shavuot? Why do we drink on Purim? Do we light the Hanukkah candles from left to right or right to left and does it really make a difference? These timely, holiday-specific workshops will provide historical and cultural background to some of our popular (and not-so-popular) Jewish holidays. We will not only review the what, how and why of traditional holiday practices, observances and foods, we will discuss creative and meaningful ways of implementing these traditions in our homes and communities. All are welcome but the program is geared towards parents with Nursery School aged children.
