Dr. Moshe Halbertal will be joining us for a Scholar-In-Residence weekend! He is a noted Israeli Jewish philosopher, professor, and writer. He is co-author, of the Israeli Army Code of Ethics, which will be the central focus of most of his sessions. 
Dr. Halbertal is a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem,and a Professor of Jewish Thought and Philosophy at Hebrew University. He was a fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows, and has been a visiting professor at Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and New York University Law School. 
All events are free of charge and open to the community, except for the Friday Night Shabbat Dinner. (Pricing for the dinner is $18/adult, $10/child ages 3-13; 2 and under free.)

Friday, December 2

7:00pm: Shabbat Dinner (Register by Mon. Nov. 28 at
7:15pm: Babysitting available for ages 12 and under.
7:45pm: Scholar Presentation: What is the Jewish Democratic State: Israel Between Nationalism, Religion, and Democracy
Saturday, December 3
9:00am: Shabbat Services
11:00am: Dr. Halbertal will deliver the sermon. 
1:00pm: Dr. Halbertal will speak about Moral Challenges of Asymmetrical War: The Case of Israel
4:15pm: Mincha/Maariv Service Dr. Halbertal will teach during Seudah Shlishit
