THIS Saturday, June 4, 9 pm (In Person & Livestream) There was once a tradition to coat children’s tablets in honey so that they would associate the sweetness with their studies. While kids today would not be moved by a honey-covered iPad, we stand by the idea that our relationship to Torah should be sweet. Our night of learning this year will come in three phases, beginning with a bourbon tasting led by Josh Podietz, singing with Cantor Gaby and Jack, and a Shavuot learning session. The second and third hour will include learning sessions from our clergy. Each hour has one of the classes/activities available on livestream.
The above picture is of Judy Schmeidler and Roz Kaufman at Rabbi Jessica Fisher's winter class on food and the Talmud.
June: 9th, 16th, 23rd, 8-9 pm, In Person Only This series will explore some of the most captivating and provocative stories of the Talmud alongside Dr. Ruth Calderon’s contemporary midrashim, retellings that place us directly in the shoes of some of the Talmud’s greatest teachers and its silent characters. This class will be led by Rabbi Fisher.
