YOM HASHOAH COMMEMORATION
THURSDAY, APRIL 8 7:30PM
Join us for a tekes (ceremony) from the clergy followed by Sisterhood's special guest peaker, Sandy Speier Klein. Sandy will share the story of her mother's life before, during, and after the Holocaust, and Sandy's subsequent search for her half brother.
A Note from Teen Board Member Ana Bernstein: Over the past few years on social media, people around the world have been posting a lit yellow Yizkor candle with the name and age and a few words about someone who died in the Holocaust. We want to bring this to Beth El this year.
You can pick up a yellow Yizkor candle from Beth El Tuesday-Thursday this week, 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Suggested donation $5.
Then, on Thursday evening, we will all light our yellow Yizkor candles together during our tekes.
You can also sign up to participate in Youth & Family Engagement Shabbat!
If you would like your child(ren) to participate in Saturday Morning services on Saturday, May 1 (in person), contact Cantor Gaby at gschvartz@bethelnr.org. To participate in Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday, April 30 (on Zoom), contact Jack Klebanow atjklebanow@bethelnr.org.
