Religious School News It was another phenomenal year in the Religious School. Gan-Gesher explored its new curriculum, with developmentally appropriate essential questions guiding its learning. Our teens enjoyed new options for elective classes and our partnership with the Westchester Jewish Teen Learning Initiative for our Tuesday Tikkun Olam program. Our educators spent the year focusing on reflective practice; doing feedback protocols; learning about inclusion techniques for learners with a variety of learning styles; learning how to incorporate art, music, and drama in the educational experience; and using personal and institutional missions as a guide for practice. Next year we look forward to unrolling our new schedule for students in Gimel through Vav (3rd-6th grade), offering two- and three-day per week options. We will also be opening a new class for 2nd through 4th graders with special learning needs. If you, or someone you know, are interested in learning more about either of these new opportunities, please stop by my office, e-mail me at jvegh@bethelnr.org, or call 914-235-2700, ext. 221.
